Lotte ON and Gmarket are offering discounts of up to 40% on domestic travel products through the end of May. The promotions are tied to the "Travel Month" campaign run by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to boost regional tourism. Combined with each platform's own benefits, consumers can purchase travel packages to popular destinations such as Ulleungdo, Yeongwol and Jeju at reduced prices.
Lotte ON, the e-commerce platform of Lotte Shopping, is running a "Spring Travel Discount Special" from April 26 through May 29. Under the slogan "Domestic Travel with Lotte ON, Excitement ON Across the Country," the event offers discounted travel products covering regions nationwide, including Gyeonggi Province, Incheon, Gangwon Province, Chungcheong Province, Gyeongsang Province, Jeolla Province, Jeju Island and Ulleungdo. The deals cover package tours as well as tour passes and attraction admission tickets.
Featured products include a gourmet tour of Yeongwol in Gangwon Province — the exile site of the deposed King Danjong — a trip to Iksan Mireuksa Temple Site to explore Baekje-era UNESCO World Heritage sites, a kids' history tour of Gyeongju, a Yeoncheon tour spanning a prehistoric museum to the DMZ, and a two-night, three-day trip to the "dream island" of Ulleungdo.
During the event period, customers receive three 30% discount coupons per person, each worth up to 50,000 won. Eligible products can be found on the "Spring Travel Discount Special" page within Lotte ON. Additional discounts from Lotte ON's own promotions and credit card payment benefits bring the maximum discount to 40%. "We are joining the MCST and KTO campaign to help rediscover the charm of domestic tourism and inject vitality into local economies by showcasing a wide range of domestic travel products," said Lee Tae-rae, head of Lotte ON's travel team.
