
BTS is reaffirming its status as the kings of K-pop and Korea's premier soft power force, shattering records across the board with their comeback. The group's return has become more than a new album release — it has served as a catalyst for spreading Korean culture around the world.
BTS released their fifth studio album "ARIRANG" on June 20 and held "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG" at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on June 21. The concert was livestreamed in approximately 190 countries.
According to Netflix on June 26, a staggering 18.4 million viewers tuned in on the day of the event alone. The "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG" video uploaded to Netflix after the event debuted at No. 1 on the weekly charts in 24 countries and territories.
BTS successfully wrapped up "Spotify X BTS: SWIMSIDE," a collaborative event with the global audio streaming platform Spotify, on June 24. The group is set to appear on NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airing at 12:35 p.m. on June 26 and 27.
