HK inno.N, a South Korean consumer healthcare and beverage company, is launching a new zero-calorie beverage, "T-log Mango Watermelon Iced Tea," ahead of the upcoming summer season. T-log is a zero-calorie iced tea brand that HK inno.N launched in 2023, and the company has been accelerating its lineup expansion, including the release of "Sparkling Lemon-Lime Iced Tea" earlier this month.
HK inno.N said Wednesday that it developed the new product to reflect the trending "jechul-core" (seasonal-core) movement. The jechul-core trend refers to a culture of enjoying seasonal ingredients, such as bomdong (early spring cabbage) bibimbap. As the Mango Watermelon Iced Tea features watermelon — a quintessential summer fruit — the company plans to actively capture consumer demand by riding the trend.
"We hope the sweet and refreshing taste of T-log Mango Watermelon Iced Tea will offer a moment of relief during the upcoming summer heat," said an HK inno.N beverage marketing team official in charge of T-log.
The official also said, "We used 'Tieguanyin oolong tea,' known as a renowned Chinese tea, to add a fragrant flavor, and incorporated the unique fruit combination of 'mango watermelon' to deliver a cool and sweet taste." The official added, "We plan to continue targeting diverse consumer preferences with combinations of unique fruits and premium teas."
The current T-log product lineup includes five regular varieties — Flat Peach, Jeju Green Tangerine, Ruby Plum, Apple Green Grape, and Mango Watermelon — and three sparkling varieties — Flat Peach, Gold Apple, and Lemon-Lime.
