According to the Korea Box Office Information System on the 16th, "Man Who Lives with the King" attracted approximately 1,253,000 viewers (76.4% box office share) from the 13th to 15th. The cumulative audience reached approximately 13,467,000 as of that day, successively breaking the records of "Veteran" (2015, 13.41 million), "12.12: The Day" (2023, 13.12 million), and "The Host" (2006, 13.01 million) to jump to eighth place in all-time box office rankings. By surpassing "12.12: The Day," "Man Who Lives with the King" became the highest-grossing Korean film released since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Directed by Jang Hang-jun, the film depicts the story of the exiled King Danjong and crossed the 13 million viewer mark the previous day, its 40th day in theaters.
Pixar's animated film "Hoppers" ranked second with approximately 173,000 weekend viewers (10.6% box office share). Released on the 4th, "Hoppers" has accumulated approximately 531,000 viewers.
