Professor Song Heon-ho, a hematology-oncology specialist, has been inaugurated as the 21st president of Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital. His term runs from this month through February 2028.
Song graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1992 and earned master's and doctoral degrees from the medical graduate schools of Ulsan University and Kangwon National University. Since joining Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital in 2005, he has held key positions including head of the hematology-oncology department, director of planning, and deputy director of medical affairs, accumulating experience spanning both clinical practice and hospital management.
The inauguration ceremony held at Ilsong Hall on January 2 was attended by approximately 100 guests, including former president Yang Dae-yeol.
"Building on 40 years of growth alongside our local community, we will prepare for the next 100 years," Song said in his inaugural address. "We will fundamentally transform the hospital's paradigm through artificial intelligence and digital healthcare, establishing data-driven decision-making systems across clinical care, research, and education."
