Asan Medical Center in Seoul announced on February 18 that it received a 200 million won ($145,000) donation from BTS member J-Hope for its children's hospital development fund.
J-Hope made the donation to mark his birthday on February 18, matching the same amount he gave last year. Including his 100 million won contribution in 2022, his cumulative donations to Asan Medical Center have reached 500 million won.
"I continue to donate because I want to give back to ARMY, who always sends me tremendous support," J-Hope said. "I am grateful to practice meaningful giving on my birthday again this year, following last year."
He added, "I believe these children will someday move toward a hopeful future. I sincerely hope they can overcome their pain and dream bright dreams."
The donation will be used to improve medical facilities and treatment environments for pediatric patients, as well as to support home healthcare services for critically ill children and psychological healing programs.
