Counseling expert Professor Lee Ho-sun has explained her reason for leaving 'Destiny War 49.' The show is a survival entertainment program where 49 fortune-tellers gather to test their destinies through various missions. Lee, a Christian and wife of a pastor, appears to have made the decision to protect her faith in God.
On the 16th of this month, Professor Lee posted on her Instagram with the words "self-reproach," explaining her departure from the Disney+ entertainment show 'Destiny War 49.'
In the post, Lee began by stating, "No matter what anyone says, I am a lifelong Christian," adding, "I have also been doing counseling for quite a long time, though shorter than my faith."
She continued, "So I am always conscious of God's gaze and pray for all the clients who work with me. Among my clients, there are many who carry the burden of anxiety and move between fortune-telling houses, religious institutions, and counseling sessions. That's why I never forget to study the differences between counseling and shamanism. I constantly strive not to lose my identity while researching whether it's reading fate or determining fate, and what differences exist between counseling and shamanism."
She also said, "Even in all those moments, I remember that there are people who are suffering," confessing, "The reason I stepped down after just one recording session of the recently aired program was because I realized only after starting that this was not the path I should take."
Finally, Lee shared, "I learned that I must stand more carefully before the path ahead," adding, "Even at this age, I am learning again, albeit in an embarrassing way." She resolved, "I will turn back from the path I entered and live with my mind firmly in place."
Previously, Lee appeared as a "Destiny Judge" alongside Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae, Shindong, and Kang Ji-young in episodes 1 through 3. However, she did not appear in episode 4 when the second round began, and Park Ha-sun was brought in as her replacement. Lee is a Christian and the wife of a pastor.
