Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine announced Wednesday that it held various Lunar New Year events for patients who could not visit their hometowns during the holiday and continued their treatment.
Incheon Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine organized traditional game programs including stone-throwing games to promote physical activity for patients confined to their rooms. Medical staff also participated in the events, building closer relationships with patients.
At Busan Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, medical staff wore traditional hanbok attire and hosted folk games including yut nori, elevating the festive atmosphere. Daejeon Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine and Cheongju Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine also held events featuring "lucky draw yut nori" with penalties and missions, as well as capsule prize drawings.
One patient who participated in the events said, "I was disappointed to spend the Lunar New Year holiday at the hospital, but thanks to the events prepared by the hospital, I was able to enjoy the festive atmosphere."
Park Byung-mo, Chairman of Jaseng Medical Foundation, said, "We prepared these events hoping that patients receiving treatment during the holiday could experience the spirit of Lunar New Year, even briefly." He added, "We will continue to provide medical services that attend to patients' daily lives and emotional well-being beyond just treatment."
