LE SSERAFIM, hailed as the "strongest fourth-generation girl group," has achieved another milestone on Japan's Oricon chart.
According to the Oricon chart released on the 10th, LE SSERAFIM's first single album "SPAGHETTI" ranked No. 1 on the Weekly Singles Ranking for the period of February 2-8. The single has demonstrated remarkable staying power, maintaining steady popularity more than three months after its October release. The achievement is particularly significant as it marks the first time in three years that a foreign female artist has topped this chart.
The record is also noteworthy because the group has surpassed its own previous milestone. In 2023, LE SSERAFIM reached No. 1 on the same chart with their Japanese debut single "FEARLESS." At that time, it was the first occasion in approximately five years and three months that a foreign female artist had topped the chart with a debut album. With "SPAGHETTI" achieving similar exceptional results, the group has solidified its dominant position in Japan's music market.
The group's first world tour played a significant role in this remarkable achievement. In November last year, LE SSERAFIM performed at Tokyo Dome for the first time as part of their world tour. The two-day concert drew 80,000 attendees, and the five members' spectacular performances received widespread acclaim. Their encore concerts "LE SSERAFIM TOUR 'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN SEOUL" held on January 31 and February 1 were livestreamed worldwide through global superfan platform Weverse. Fans from 57 countries and regions, including Japan, watched in real time, demonstrating strong international interest. The impressive performances from the concert drove continued popularity for the single, helping it reach No. 1 on Oricon's Daily Singles Ranking on February 2.
LE SSERAFIM will perform at "SUMMER SONIC 2026," Japan's largest music festival, scheduled for August 14-16. Making their first appearance at the event featuring world-renowned musicians, the group will deliver powerful performances in both Tokyo and Osaka.
