BTS has achieved the highest seat occupancy rate for a single performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Live Nation UK announced on its official social media account on the 6th that "BTS's ARMY has achieved the highest seat occupancy rate for a single performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium." Approximately 120,000 fans are expected to attend BTS's concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 6-7 over the two days.
The 62,000-seat stadium has previously hosted performances by Stray Kids, Beyoncé, and Travis Scott. With a 360-degree stage announced that allows viewing from all directions, tickets for both days have sold out. BTS will kick off their world tour spanning 34 cities on April 9 at Goyang Stadium. All currently available shows on their tour, including the London concerts, have sold out.
Interest in BTS's music is also growing as the group announced the release of their fifth studio album "Arirang" on March 20. As of the 4th, "Arirang" has topped Spotify's "Countdown Chart Global" for three consecutive weeks. The "Countdown Chart Global" tracks pre-save numbers for upcoming albums and singles.
BTS will hold a comeback celebration live performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, the day after the "Arirang" release, which will be livestreamed to approximately 190 countries via Netflix.
Meanwhile, "Boy With Luv," released in 2019, surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube last month. This marks the second BTS music video to exceed 1.9 billion YouTube views, following "Dynamite."
