"The Lee Hae-chan Memoir" by the late former Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan topped the Yes24 comprehensive bestseller ranking for the first week of February. The memoir, which has drawn intense reader interest, saw its weekly sales surge 457-fold compared to its total sales for last year. Buyer analysis showed that readers in their 50s accounted for 43.8% of purchases and those in their 40s for 20.4%, reflecting strong interest from middle-aged readers.
"Stock Investment for Progressives" by Professor Lee Kwang-soo, which held the No. 1 spot for four consecutive weeks in January, dropped one position to second place. The 2025 Akutagawa Prize-winning novel "Goethe Said Everything" maintained its third-place ranking. Investment and personal finance books continued their popularity, with three business and economics titles in the top five, including "Stock Investment for Progressives," "The Minimum Economics Study to Survive in the Age of Capitalism" (4th), and "The Equation of Money" (5th).
