Chung-Ang University Hospital announced Wednesday that orthopedic professor Lee Jae-sung has been appointed as the 24th hospital director. The appointment takes effect on January 11, with the inauguration ceremony scheduled for January 20.
The new director is an authority in the field of hand and upper extremity surgery. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Chung-Ang University College of Medicine and earned his doctoral degree from the University of Ulsan Graduate School. He previously served as head of the orthopedic surgery department and director of external cooperation at Chung-Ang University Hospital. As chief of external affairs at Chung-Ang University Medical Center, he worked to promote public relations and expand the culture of philanthropy across the medical center. He also contributed to academic advancement and training of future physicians in orthopedic-related fields, serving as academic committee chair of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand.

"Based on this spirit of service, I will systematically create an environment where faculty and staff can devote themselves to clinical care, research, and education, and build a foundation for sustainable growth."
