Everland, the theme park operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, announced Wednesday that it will begin operating its outdoor snow sledding attraction "Snow Buster" from December 12, offering families winter fantasy outdoor activities.
Snow Buster features not only snow sledding—a quintessential winter activity—but also snow play areas including Snow Playground and Snow Yard.
Everland moved up this year's Snow Buster opening by approximately one week compared to previous years so that eager visitors can enjoy the snowy races sooner. The sledding Racing Course and Snow Yard will open first on December 12, followed by Snow Playground on December 19. The 200-meter Express Course is planned to begin operation in early January, depending on weather conditions.
The Racing Course, opening first, allows visitors to race down steep slopes on sleds. The Express Course accommodates up to four people on large circular tubes, enabling families, friends, and couples to face each other while enjoying a unique sledding experience.
For families wanting to fully enjoy snow play together, the experience zone in front of the sledding area is recommended. Snow Playground, newly expanded from last year's popular Snow Track, features a body slide zone. Snow Yard, set up on flat snow-covered ground, allows children to build snowmen.
Hot Food Street and Bagel Wish Lounge will also be set up at the Alpine Village entrance for visitors. Hot Food Street will offer winter snacks such as roasted sweet potatoes, fish-shaped pastries, hotteok (Korean sweet pancakes), and egg bread, along with beverages including chocolate latte and apple citron tea, and meal options like udon with tofu pouches and fish cakes, and spicy rice cake skewers.
Snow Buster is free for all Everland visitors. According to Everland, all courses are equipped with automatic launch pads, tube lifts, dedicated lanes with snow barriers, and air bounce cushions for impact protection, ensuring convenience and safety.
Everland is also offering various winter season content as part of its ongoing Wizard of Oz-themed winter festival. At the "Witch's Surprise Box" in Alpine Village, visitors can take unique videos using a 360-degree rotating camera in a space decorated like the inside of a gift box. At the "Snow Oz Photo Wall," visitors can capture special moments with Lenny and Friends characters as backdrops.
Four Seasons Garden has transformed into an emerald city with a Christmas concept, featuring themed zones based on Wizard of Oz characters including Dorothy, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow. The "K-Pop Demon Hunters Sing-Along Fireworks Show" will also be held every night through the end of the year.
