Seoul Arts Center will hold the '2025 Seoul Arts Center New Year's Eve Concert with Woori Financial Group' on December 31.
The New Year's Eve Concert, which was first introduced in 1994, is Seoul Arts Center's flagship brand performance at 0:00 in the new year. They sold out every year, and this year, too, all seats were sold out after only two days of ticket opening. Additional choir seats will be opened on the 4th.
This year's stage will be decorated by the hottest young performers on the world stage. The baton is taken by Korean-Canadian conductor Lee Eul. He won the 2022 Georg Solti Conducting Award and was rated as “the next generation conductor with both delicacy and dynamism.”
As a collaboration, pianist Kim Da-sol, who has collaborated with major orchestras from around the world, will perform Liszt's “Piano Concerto No. 1.” This work, which combines explosive finesse and lyricism, is a key repertoire that will boost the energy of the New Year's Eve stage.
Violinist Danny Gu, who is active in classical music, jazz, and crossover, will also take the stage. He will share his warm emotions across generations through “Concert Fantasy Song on the Theme of Gershwin's 'Abandonment and Bess'” arranged by Prolove and his signature song “Danny Boy.”
The highlight of the New Year's Eve concert is the “Countdown & Fireworks Festival,” which continues at the Seoul Arts Center outdoor plaza after the performance. The concert starts at 9:30 p.m., and after the performance, we will move to the outdoor plaza of Seoul Arts Center. Following last year, broadcaster Han Seok-joon is in charge of society, adding excitement to the new year.
Seoul Arts Center is also holding an art exhibition for people with developmental disabilities with the Woori Financial Future Foundation as part of a social contribution project. Works by artists sponsored by Woori Financial Group will be showcased at the underground exhibition hall of Symphony Hall from December 24 to 31.
